This interesting article traces the way that so many businesses today are really family owned enterprises. They discuss various business ventures and the family involvement in each. One such venture, started by B.J. Fazeli, was part of his direct response products firm, BJ Global Direct. He explains that he titled the health and beauty line Kymaro by taking two letters from each of his three daughters’ names.
B.J. Fazeli’s eldest daughter, Roma, is the creative director behind the TV spots for Kymaro. He believes that the years of talking about work around the dinner table actually helped to prepare Roma for her job.
Fazeli points out that his middle daughter, Mahadice, is working part time for BJ Global Direct and Kymaro while also working with an outside job. He expects his third daughter, Kyana, to do the same.
As Fazeli says, “They learn how it is out there. Then they have a yardstick and they can compare.”
